Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment Yojana
Once again, the State Government of Assam is going to launch Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment Yojana (SVAYEM) after redesigning the scheme. Previously this scheme was launched by the Hon’ble Finance Minister of Assam in his budget speech on 7th February 2017. Once again finance and education minister Himanta BiswaSarma has announced this scheme on Friday, 4 September 2020 in a press meet at Guwahati. The government has sanctioned Rs. 1000 crore to spent on this scheme in the next three months without any banking linkage.

Redesigned Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment
The chief minister of Assam Sarbanda Sonowal and the Finance Minister Dr. Biswa Sarma has re-design Swami Vivekananda Assam youth empowerment on 20 January 2021. Under this scheme, the 2 lakh youth of Assam will be benefited with Rs 50,000 to undertake new economic activities or expand their existing business. The main aim of launching this scheme is to provide seed money and working capital to around 200000 members of the self-help group to strengthen the local industries and rural economy of the state. This scheme has been launched to take the resolution to earn Rs 5 lakh with Rs. 50,000. Under this scheme, the Government of Assam will include the existing group of 15-20 member such as

Launched Of Re-SVAYEM In Tinsukia
Sanjay Kishan minister of state for tree tribe welfare and Labour department has launched Re-SVAYEM Yojana in Tinku senior district on Thursday 21st January 2021 with the aim to provide financial assistance to the youth of self-help group. With the help of this financial assistance, the youth will be able to achieve self Reliance. Around 874 SHG beneficiaries under SHG A+ and 6536 Beneficiaries under individual scored A+ have been selected in Tinsukia District
Launched Of RE-SVAYEM In Dima Hisso
The chief executive member NC hills autonomous council Sri Devilal and chairperson Ranu Langthasa has launched the Re-SVAYEM Scheme in Dimo Hasao on Sunday 24 January 2021 with the aim to benefit the youth of the state. Under this scheme around 1000 youth in the first phase have been benefited with the first installment of Rs. 30,000 and around 643 youth in the second phase will get a benefit of Rs. 50,000 each. The government has sanctioned around Rs 5 crore in Dimo Hasao. The main aim of launching the scheme is to provide proper employment opportunities to the youth of the state so that they can start their new venture or grow their existing ventures with the support of the government.

Objective of the scheme
The major objective of the scheme is to provide self-employment opportunities to about 2 lakh youth of the state by providing them financial help to start a joint venture business.

Eligibility conditions
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam
- Applicant must be registered with self-help groups or joint liability groups before September 1, 2020
- The age of the appellant should not more than 40 years
- Applicant must possess at least matriculation qualification to apply
Financial assistance
Selected beneficiaries will get Rs. 50000 as a chit capital to pick up work in departments like Flood Control, PWD, etc. on a contractual basis.
