The electoral roll is a list of all eligible citizens who cast their votes in an election that has now been announced by the Election Commission of India. Launch Of Assam Legislative Assembly Election
During the press conference, the Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora announced the schedule for Assam Legislative Assembly 2021. these elections are going to be held in three phases that are on March 27 April 1st and April 6th and the result of this election will be announced on 2nd May 2021. Around 126 Assembly seats are reserved for scheduled castes and 16 Assembly seats are reserved for scheduled Tribes. There are a total of 33,530 polling stations in Assam.

Broadcast Of Final Electoral Roll In Assam
On 18 January 2021, the final electoral roll was published by the Dhubri District Election Officer including around 15,923 new voters. Out of which there are 3,11,324 male candidates and 2,91,084 female candidates. Around 8,081 electors are from the age group of 80+ while 16,255 voters are from the age group of 18+ The number of voters has increased by 2.7% as compared to the number of voters in November 2020. This voting has been done in three assembly constituencies that are Dhubri, Gauripur, and Golakgunj. The final voter list which was released on Monday contains 95300 voters in Dhubri LAC, 2,04,778 in Gauripur LAC, and 2,02,338 in Golakganj.

The Assam constituency has approx 2.24 crore voters, of which 1.17 are newcomers. Total Number Of Citizen In Assam Voter List
The draft which was published last Wednesday includes around 2,24,39,522 persons out of which 1,10,13,775 were women. The ratios of women and men went from 964 to 954 as per the census of 2011. And newly added persons were 1,17,051 of age 18 to 19 years who voted for the first time in the assembly poll. There were 28,61,763 senior citizens out of which 3,15,023 were above the age of 80 years. The number of polling stations was 28,205 which has now increased to 76,020. The expectations are that there will be more increment in the upcoming year as the citizens who are less than the age of 18 are going to attend the age of an adult in the upcoming year.
